Our theme for Journaling Club 05: Spring Break (Up)
Journaling Club 05 will include the following:
- A junk journaling workshop by Nica Cosio, an artist and mom of three who takes joy in sharing the art of memory keeping with others through her workshops on collage-making, rubberstamp carving and creative journaling.
- Fallen out of love with your journaling supplies? Bring an item for every member of the club and we will use each other's "junk" to create gorgeous pages
- A journaling organizer to tidy your supplies which will be waiting for you at the workshop
- A drink and a pastry
Journaling Club 05: Spring Break (Up) will be held on 21 March 2026, 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Habonera Studio, Magallanes, Makati.
What is junk journaling?
Junk journaling or collage journaling is putting pieces of paper together to create something beautiful, vibrant, and new. You will rediscover your personal creativity and tell stories from your collected ephemera that others would consider junk but you can't bear to throw out. Learn how to layer different elements, master composition, and make full-page layouts or add interest to the corner of your journal.
How will I know the number of pieces to bring?
Twenty-four hours before our workshop, you will receive an email with the number of participants. You will bring one piece for each participant (a sticker or sticker sheet, washi tape sample or the whole roll, if you're feeling generous, and other paper ephemera). Please note that there is no need to purchase new materials. This is a time to break up with supplies you once loved but no longer feel any affection for.
